The Office of Juvenile Affairs
Oklahoma Recidivism Study

NOTE FROM Bethesda Family Services Foundation:

We believe the low recidivism rate of the Bethesda Group Home indicated below is the direct result of our Relational Healing and Peer Governance Models, which focus on addressing the core issues of juveniles.  By identifying and addressing the core issues, we are able to take the juveniles and their families through a healing process that results in permanent positive changes in behavior and decision making.

This report is based on several sources of data including the Community Intervention Centers, secure detention facilities and the client information system (JOLTS) of the Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA).  Additionally, data is obtained from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC) and matched against data from JOLTS in order to determine recidivism rates for those juveniles who have aged out.
