2005 Program
Behavioral Assessment of Juveniles Served
The purpose of the assessment was to evaluate the
effectiveness of the Bethesda Models of Relational Healing and Peer
Governance in reducing the frequency and intensity of offending,
negative and/or antisocial behaviors of the youth in the Durham County A
New Day Summer Program.
The overall results depicted by the
presentations on the following pages strongly indicate that the
implementation and application of Bethesda Family Services Foundation’s
Relational Healing and Peer Governance Models significantly decrease the
frequency and intensity of negative and unproductive behaviors in male
and female delinquent and/or troubled youth. This is evidenced by the
fact that only forms of treatment that the clients received were
Relational Healing and Peer Governance.
The following is an overview of the
findings based on the data collected. Attachment B includes graphs
illustrating these findings.

clients were discharged, there was no evidence of self destruction
